This is another one of those spontaneous, in-the-moment shots, one I grabbed while the bridal party was gathering for the group photo from earlier on this list (Number Twenty-One) . I just think it works so well because it wasn’t planned; Rachel and her sister Lydia were just goofing off. That and the composition of the photo with them backlit by the late-May sunset really makes for a wonderful shot. And any pic that looks like this where I don’t need any light modifiers (like Cassie before this) is always a plus, in my opinion. The other lesson I haven’t articulated with these in-the-moment random shots: always be paying attention to what’s going on around you, because random moments can be some of the best moments.
